Appeal Process
Think your account restriction was made in error? Learn how to submit an appeal and what to expect.
About Appeals
If you believe your account was restricted, suspended, or banned unfairly, you have the right to appeal the decision. Our team will review your appeal and the original violation to ensure the correct action was taken.
Who Can Submit an Appeal?
You can submit an appeal if:
- Your account has received a warning for violating community guidelines
- Your account has been temporarily suspended or restricted
- Your account has been permanently banned
- You believe the action was taken in error or without sufficient evidence
Note: You can only appeal once per violation. Additional appeals for the same incident will not be reviewed.
How the Appeal Process Works
Submit Your Appeal
Fill out the appeal form with details about your case. Include specific information about why you believe the restriction was incorrect.
Required Information:
- Your account username and email
- Violation type (warning, suspension, ban)
- Date you received the notification
- Detailed explanation of why you believe it was an error
- Any supporting evidence (screenshots, links, etc.)
Initial Review
Our moderation team will acknowledge receipt of your appeal within 24-48 hours. You will receive a confirmation email with a case reference number.
Investigation
A senior moderator will review your appeal along with:
- The original violation report and evidence
- Your account history and previous warnings
- Any additional information you provided
- Relevant chat logs, gig content, or order details
Decision
You will receive an email with the final decision:
Appeal Approved
The restriction will be removed immediately, and any warnings will be cleared from your account.
Appeal Denied
The original decision stands. You will receive an explanation of why the appeal was not successful.
Partial Resolution
In some cases, penalties may be reduced (e.g., suspension shortened or changed to a warning).
What to Include in Your Appeal
A strong appeal includes:
Clear Explanation
Explain specifically why you believe the restriction was incorrect. Be concise and factual.
Supporting Evidence
Include screenshots, timestamps, or links that support your case. If the violation was based on a misunderstanding, provide context.
Account for Context
If there were extenuating circumstances (technical issues, account compromised, etc.), explain them clearly.
Professional Tone
Keep your appeal respectful and professional. Aggressive or hostile language will hurt your case.
What NOT to Include:
- Personal attacks on moderators or other users
- Threats or ultimatums
- Irrelevant information about other users' violations
- Excuses without taking responsibility (if applicable)

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the appeal process take?
Most appeals are reviewed within 5-10 business days. Complex cases may take longer, but you will be notified if additional time is needed.
Can I appeal more than once?
You can only submit one appeal per violation. If your appeal is denied, the decision is final for that specific incident.
Can I use Sikaty while my appeal is being reviewed?
This depends on the type of restriction. For warnings, your account remains active. For suspensions or bans, you will not have access until the appeal is approved (if applicable).
What if I have new evidence after submitting my appeal?
Reply to the confirmation email with your case reference number and include the new evidence. The moderator will consider it during the review.
Can I create a new account if my appeal is denied?
No. Creating new accounts to evade restrictions is strictly prohibited and will result in those accounts being permanently banned as well.
