How to Report
Find the Report Button
Look for the report or flag icon on gigs, profiles, messages, reviews, or orders.
Select the Reason
Choose the category that best describes the violation (harassment, scam, spam, etc.).
Provide Details
Include specific information about what happened. Screenshots are helpful if available.
Submit and Wait
Our moderation team will review your report within 24-48 hours and take appropriate action.
Note: Your report is confidential. The person you report will not be notified that you submitted a report.
2. How to Block Users
Blocking a user prevents them from contacting you, viewing your profile, or interacting with your gigs. This is useful if someone is bothering you or if you want to avoid future interactions.
How to Block Someone:
- Go to the user's profile or open a conversation with them
- Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) or settings icon
- Select "Block User" from the dropdown
- Confirm that you want to block this user
What Happens When You Block Someone:
They Cannot:
- Send you messages
- Place orders on your gigs
- View your profile or gigs
- Leave reviews on your work
- See your activity or posts
You Can Still:
- Complete existing orders with them
- View past conversations (read-only)
- Unblock them later if you change your mind
- Report them if needed
To Unblock a User:
Go to your account settings, navigate to "Blocked Users," and click "Unblock" next to their name.
3. Privacy Settings and Tips
Control Your Profile Visibility
Profile Privacy
Choose who can view your profile: everyone, only verified users, or only users you've interacted with.
Contact Information
Never share personal contact details (phone, email, social media) in public profiles or messages before completing an order.
Activity Status
You can hide your online status so others don't see when you're active on the platform.
Portfolio and Samples
Only share work samples that you have permission to display publicly. Don't include client data or sensitive information.
Best Practices for Privacy
- •Use a professional username that doesn't reveal personal information
- •Be cautious about sharing your location or work address
- •Review your privacy settings regularly
- •Don't share account credentials with anyone
- •Keep personal and professional accounts separate
4. Scam Prevention Tips
Common Scams to Watch Out For
Scammers are creative, but their tactics often follow similar patterns. Stay alert for these red flags:
Off-Platform Payment Scam
Warning Sign: Someone asks you to pay via PayPal, Venmo, bank transfer, or any method outside Sikaty.
What to Do: Refuse and report immediately. All payments must go through Sikaty for your protection.
Phishing Scam
Warning Sign: You receive an email or message claiming to be from Sikaty asking for your password or payment details.
What to Do: Don't click any links. Sikaty will never ask for your password via email. Report the message.
Fake Gig Scam
Warning Sign: A gig promises unrealistic results (e.g., "1000 Instagram followers for $5" or "guaranteed ranking on Google").
What to Do: Check reviews, ask for proof of previous work, and be skeptical of "too good to be true" offers.
Account Takeover Scam
Warning Sign: Someone asks for your account login details to "verify" something or "fix an issue."
What to Do: Never share your credentials. Contact Sikaty support directly if you have account issues.
Advance Fee Scam
Warning Sign: Someone asks for an upfront payment before starting work, outside of the official order system.
What to Do: Only pay through the official order system. Funds are held in escrow for your protection.
Fake Review Scam
Warning Sign: Someone offers to exchange 5-star reviews or pay you for fake positive reviews.
What to Do: Refuse and report. Fake reviews violate our terms and damage platform integrity.
General Scam Prevention Tips
- Always communicate through Sikaty's messaging system
- Verify user profiles and check reviews before placing orders
- Be cautious of urgent requests or pressure tactics
- Never share personal financial information
- If something feels wrong, trust your instincts and report it
5. Account Security Best Practices
Protect Your Account
Strong Password
- • Use at least 12 characters
- • Include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
- • Don't reuse passwords from other sites
- • Change your password every 3-6 months
- • Use a password manager
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Enable 2FA for an extra layer of security. Even if someone gets your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second verification step.
Go to Settings → Security → Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Monitor Account Activity
- • Check login history regularly
- • Enable email notifications for new logins
- • Log out from devices you no longer use
- • Review connected apps and services
Recognize Suspicious Activity
- • Unfamiliar login locations
- • Messages you didn't send
- • Orders you didn't place
- • Changes to profile or settings you didn't make
If Your Account is Compromised:
- Change your password immediately
- Enable two-factor authentication if not already active
- Log out from all devices
- Contact Sikaty support at [email protected]
- Check for unauthorized orders or transactions
