Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Sikaty
1. Introduction
- Welcome to Sikaty. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Sikaty’s website, services, and tools (collectively, the “Platform”).
- By registering for an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Definitions
- Client or Buyer – a user who purchases services.
- Freelancer or Seller – a user who offers and delivers services.
- Order – a formal request made by a Client to purchase a service.
- Platform – the Sikaty website and mobile applications.
3. Account Registration
- - You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- - You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- - Sikaty reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Services, Offers & Orders
- - Freelancers can post Offers/Gigs describing the services they provide.
- - Clients place orders and provide clear requirements.
- - Delivery timelines and revisions must be agreed in advance.
5. Payments and Commission
- - All payments must be processed through Sikaty. Off-platform payments are strictly prohibited.
- - Commission: Sikaty charges a 20% (0.2) commission on every completed order.
- - Payout Timeline: Funds are released to Freelancers 14 days after order completion and acceptance.
- - Any attempt to bypass payment through Sikaty will result in account suspension.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
- - A Client may request a cancellation before delivery if the Freelancer has not started work.
- - If delivery has been made but is unsatisfactory, Clients may request a revision or refund within 7 days.
- - Refunds are issued at Sikaty’s discretion after review and may be credited to the Client’s Sikaty balance.
7. Dispute Resolution
- - Disputes should first be resolved between Client and Freelancer using the Platform’s messaging tools.
- - If unresolved, a dispute can be opened. Sikaty Support will review all communication and make a final decision.
- - Sikaty’s decision is binding.
8. Intellectual Property
- Upon full payment, all intellectual property rights in the delivered work are transferred to the Client, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Freelancers retain rights to portfolios unless agreed otherwise.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- - Use Sikaty for unlawful purposes.
- - Spam or send malicious files.
- - Share personal contact details to bypass the platform.
10. Liability and Disclaimers
- Sikaty is a marketplace and does not guarantee the quality or outcome of services.
- Sikaty is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
11. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (UK).
- Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
Sikaty may amend these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
